Surveyor Co-op

The “Surveyor Co-op” philosophy has been around for centuries.  It occurs every time a surveyor shares information to help another surveyor do their job better.  Ultimately, these shared comparisons of data points and boundaries help to make our local, state, and federal records more accurate provide the clients with the best services possible.

Regarding the SAGIS and TRS Data Bank Co-op

Regarding the SAGIS and the creation of a Master Data Bank of Section Breakdown Data – email me about this for our OK TRS (Township-Range-Section) data so that we as surveyors can share certified section survey information (section breakdown information) above and beyond the simple corner records that we all use. The original idea was to contribute two section breakdowns to get credit for one free one and to pay a small fee for the rest of about $5 to help maintain and build the data bank till we get all the sections covered in OK.

The simplest way is to provide the csv file for the SPC of each corner in the section and qualify as to its accuracy and datum basis of coordinates. Even if we do not have SPC, the relative coordinates of each corner certified will be a good start. Email me for more details and I will try to add more information to this menu to answer more questions about this system.
